About Me

Hi, my name is Jason Mallardi and I am a student at ALJ Highschool in Clark Nj.

On this portfolio you are gonna learn about me and my academic and athletic achievments as well as my work history. I've lived in Clark my whole life and I'm currently a sophmore in highschool.

Outside of school I love to play soccer and basketball. Soccer takes up most of my day but I like to learn the piano in the little free time that I have. I currently play for Union Fc and I am a striker and Left-Back for the club. I also play soccer for ALJ and this was my second year on the team. I play as a left back and left wing under coach Marcin.

Achievements

Last year I had to the privelage of going to Tampa, Florida, to complete in the Super Y league Nationals. Our club had to get 1st place in a group of 12 teams to qualify for this event. We won our division and earned a trip to florida. We unfortunatley lost in the semi-finals but it was stil a great experience.

During my soccer career I have won many tourtaments and trophies. But none can compare to winning a State Championship. Our team competed in a competetion with only the best teams in NJ and we came out on top. I contributed to this by scoring 2 goals and 4 assists in 8 games as a defender.

In 2021 I graduated top 10% of my class at Carl H Kumpf middle school. I also receive a president's award for my academic achievements at the school. These awards mixed with my hard work contributed to all the high level classes in was placed into at ALJ.

Education

I have pushed myself to be the best possible student I can be and have worked hard for my grades. I went to Valley Road Elementary school and I was the only boy in the school to receive an award for my grades and be put in an advanced math class. During my time at Kumpf middle school I was able to reach the highest classes for my age level and stil lhave over a 4.0 GPA. I am currently at ALJ high school and I am one of the top students in my class of 2025. I don't have any degrees considering that I am still in high school but those will come in the future. Right now I think my grades are really impressive but there is always room to improve and I am hoping to raise these grades next marking period.

Piano

If I ever have any free time in my day, a good way to spend it is to learn the piano. It's just really fun knowing how to play an instrument and the piano was the one for me. You can use it to impress people and it is a really cool party trick if there's a piano nearby. Plus, it doesn't require as much time as other instruments so you can really learn it on your own.

Projects

For a little bit a served as a waiter at Applebee's in Clark. It was to raise money for a charity and I only worked during breakfast shifts. It was a great experience and it was my first real job.

This past summer I worked as a camp counselor at Rec summer camp. I was a counselor for 6th grade and it was my first seasonal job. It was a ver yfun job but the pay wasn't the greatest. I did get counselor of the week a few times which was nice.

Currently I am a soccer ref for ages 8-14. My job can range anywhere from being a sideline ref to being a center ref controlloing the whole game. Soccer is a big interest of mine so it was the perfevt job to fit my interests.
